turning words into food

In this day and age, things are hard for everyone, but that does not mean that we are incapable of helping each other. Even if all you can give is 25 cents, you will have helped to feed someone with even less then you. All it takes to become a community that begins to heal itself, is to be willing to believe that what you have to offer can help.

One city at a time, we will come together to raise our brothers and sisters up and out of want. For we need all the members of our community to help us create a better world, and sometimes, that means giving what we can to help, even if what we can give means we may choose to go without for a while so we can assure that someone else can begin.

so this Thanksgiving,
let’s turn Words into Food

Join the SpeakEasyCafe, Loveandwords, Wordmachinist, Womansmojorising, Grace Independent,
Ron Ash, gotPoetry, From the R.I.PSunday Radio and the Culture Network
as we help make community happen with PoetTree Magazine.

PoetTree Magazine has worked very hard to offer
to poets and supporters of the arts a way to generate
money to feed and help the homeless this winter.
From one community to another, we can help one city at a time.

Visit wordsintofood.com to buy  their 4th issue and Limited Edition Embroidered
Tank Top set for $19.99 (including S&H) and PoetTree
will donate the entire cost (less shipping & handling)  to Amos House
in Providence, RI.

Amos House is a nonprofit social services agency that
provides hospitality and direct services to the homeless and
poor of Rhode Island.

Over 80% of the donated monies
will be used to provide direct services to those in need,
you can review their agency annual report at amoshouse.com to see the financial breakdown.
Support the arts, help those in need, get a great tank-top or
give the set as a gift. For less than the cost of a dinner out,
two hours out on the town, or a ticket to a movie; you can
help to feed, shelter and assist someone this winter.

If you would like to donate without purchasing, you may also do so. Visit http://wordsintofood.com and
click on the donate button.
Every little bit counts, if all you can give is 25 cents, please give.
100% of non-purchase donations will go to Amos House.

Start your holidays by giving someone else a reason to believe that the world loves and recognizes them as valued members of our communities that we will not allow to suffer and be lost.

The site to go to again is http://wordsintofood.com.

Thank you for your support.

and may God keep you well.

About cassandratribe

"There are few artists that can do what Cassandra Tribe does. Whether with her poetry, her videos or her blog, Cassandra examines the truths that most of us can never come close to realizing and shows it for what it is, both beautiful and frightening at the same time. She exposes our inner-most workings like the cross-section of a powerful but flawed machine, our gears and springs, nuts and bolts removed and laid out before us. She is a true artist. Her new video, Requiem for a God, is the latest example of Cassandra's willingness to tear open and examine the very things that make us human. Shooting the film entirely by herself, she also eliminates all the little excuses we come up with to keep us from ourselves and our truth. You see, even when she's not trying to be, Cassandra Tribe is a beacon of truth and humanity in this darkest of worlds." (Michael E. Quigg, The Culture Network, June 2009)
